How We're Different
Most private security companies offer you stationary security guards who act as a fire watch, pedestrian and vehicle access control, and deterrent to criminal activity just by their presence.
These are valuable services in the right application however IPH has taken this further. We are a mobile patrol agency and do not have static post guards. Our Patrol Officers act in all of these capacities as well as being reactionary. Private Security Officers are not sworn peace officers unless they are appointed as such. They have no obligation to act in the event a crime is committed in their presence other
than to report it.
We believe that once we have agreed with the client to provide protective services to their property, we have an obligation to act. Thus our officers are well trained to exceed the minimum standards set down by the state. Our philosophy is "you can never receive enough training" and thus our officers receive on going training annually and are encouraged to familiarize themselves thoroughly with the training they receive.
This has resulted in an excellent working relationship with area law enforcement. So
much so over the past six years that IPH is the only Private Security Agency
in Oregon to be allowed the use of a law enforcement radio frequency.
